  in the spirit of keeping all our race relations positive- thought i'd start this thread.

  from the time i was born i've been around people of all walks of life in america.

  Buying slaves in America began with selling slaves in Africa. White America didn't start or end slavery

  It sickens me when I hear that. Obama should have been elected based on his merits. It shouldn't have had anything to do with his color. Yet I believe it was, for the most part. That's racism in the worst possible way. Since then, people on BOTH sides of the race aisle have used Obama's election to further their hate agenda.

  If you think I believe that I'm superior to anybody because of my skin color, you haven't read a single word I've written. Therefore, further discussion is a waste of my time and yours. Learn to read with comprehension. It really helps

  Okay. How? Racism is everywhere. Electing Obama was supposed to end it all. It's worse. How do you end it?.

  You are wrong. What the vast majority of modern Americans want is that white people stay quiet and accept their responsibility concerning racial issues and racial wrongs. Whites have to acknowledge their racism...past and/or present. They cannot publically voice pride in their race, skin color or heritage. They can do it in private or in the company of other like-minded folk, but to say it publically immediately brands them as racists. There the conversation stops. Once you're accused of racism, most people stop listening to you. It's an easy tool

  (I know the phrase "like-minded folk" is going to get me called a white militant or supremist)

  Absolutely. The white race has had more than their fair share of black marks (not a racial comment) in history. A lot to be ashamed of. BUT.. no race is innocent. Every race on the face and in the history of earth has discriminated against, enslaved and killed others who weren't like them. The white race hasn't cornered the market on it

  What I'm listening to is America. The voice of the people. Are you saying I should ignore it? Give that same advice to every other racial group. See how that goes over

  I absolutely agree. Just as the average white doesn't hate a black or an average hispanic doesn't hate an Asian.

  Racism exists. People need to talk about it. The discussion needs to be heard, and listened to, from all sides

  I agree that is the perspective of many, and I can understand why. But it shouldn't require me, as a white man, to hang my head in disgrace. Yet that is what today's society wants. Again, in light of the past, I can understand why. Doesn't make it any less out of line

  People should "not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

  The Elder Situation

  i was speaking with an older sister who is quite zealous and she is typical of many who are concerned that men are not reaching out.

  she notes that young men in particular have no interest in doing anything, congregation-wise.. the change in this area is quite dramatic, if you can remember that once, being an elder was an aspiration of nearly every brother - and we had plenty of young men to run the mics and hand out magazines.

  Personally, I hope the disfellowshippings increase. Whatever it takes to free people from the cult. If somebody refuses to takes the red pill voluntarily, I hope they are force-fed it.

  It hurts for a while, but so does ripping off a band-aid.

  Being disfellowshipped 19 years ago, after 23 years of mind control, was one of the very best things to happen in my life. If it hadn't happened, I'm afraid I would still be a drone.
